The Criminal / Traffic Violations Division is responsible for maintaining all criminal and traffic charges and records, collecting payment for traffic violations, handling inquiries concerning court dates, fines, and reporting traffic convictions to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles. Criminal records are kept on file indefinitely; this includes DWIs, hit and run, negligent injury, and loud music.
